About Me

mom and baby
My Story

My value for preventive healthcare ignited my passion for helping moms and babies have a successful and fulfilling breastfeeding relationship. With my background in Public Health, over 1000 hours of lactation specific clinical work, and 90 hours of lactation specific education, I entered the field of lactation. Since becoming certified as an IBCLC, I have worked in an outpatient clinic as well as in the hospital setting for over 7 years, where I currently still work. My experience with babies as a lactation consultant ranges from babies that are just hours old to babies aged 2+.

As I began my own breastfeeding journey with the birth of my first daughter, I recognized the importance of having qualified lactation support in order to get breastfeeding off to the right start.

It has been a joy to work with moms and babies, providing in-home consultations since 2016, and to see the transformation of a challenging breastfeeding situation turn into a rewarding and successful experience.

My Philosophy

It is my belief that every mom and baby pair deserve the opportunity to have a successful breastfeeding relationship. This may end up looking a variety of ways. No mom or baby should ever feel shame for the way their story plays out. It is my hope that I can assist women in reaching the goal they have set for themselves, and answer any questions with the evidence based information that is available.
